Get ready, to get ready!  We are halfway through another great year, and it may seem early, but AEP 2025 will be here soon. Time invested now will have a direct impact on your success in the future.

AHIP and Carrier Recertification for 2025 will begin at the end of June. We recommend blocking time on your schedule to complete 2025 re-certification testing as soon as it becomes available.  It is also a good time to take a look at your various state licenses to check if you need to complete continuing education or pay a renewal fee.

Now is also a great time to start building your marketing plan to engage current customers and attract new customers. Taking the time now to developing a strategy for AEP will help alleviate the stress as AEP draws closer.

June’s edition of the Innovative Financial Group (IFG) Monthly newsletter includes an interview with Royal Neighbors' Senior Director of Product Strategy and Development, Juliet Christenson, and Regional Sales Account Manager, Darcy Smith. Plus, important marketing compliance reminders, carrier updates and training opportunities to help you get ready for the new selling season.

As always, if you have questions or want assistance, please reach out to your IFG Regional Sales Team at 910-834-6780.

Innovative Interview with Royal Neighbors

Innovative Financial Group's President of Life Sales, Don Fransko, welcomes Royal Neighbors' Senior Director of Product Strategy and Development, Juliet Christenson, and Regional Sales Account Manager, Darcy Smith, into the recording studio to share exciting new policy changes, their additional risk classes, and new capacity for impact.

Learn more about expansions in the underwriting process with changes that make it easier for agents to place business with Royal Neighbors.

A Marketing Compliance Reminder

It is your responsibility to share this information with the appropriate individuals within your organization, including your downlines and affiliate partners.

We want to remind you, our valued partners, of several important marketing compliance reminders and expectations.

  1. You must submit all marketing and permission to contact (PTC) forms (including PTC communications) used by your organization and downlines, allowing adequate time for review and approval.  This includes lead company materials from which you are purchasing leads.  HPMS filing protocol must be followed.

  2. Your organization must ensure the marketing and communications lead sources/materials used are compliant to all applicable regulations.

  3. If your organization intends to use a creative another TPMO previously submitted, you must still re-submit to IFG for approval prior to use, assigning a unique SMID. It must also be filed in HPMS.

  4. IFG’s review of lead company materials does not equate to an endorsement of a lead company. Each lead source material must be submitted for review and approval individually, prior to use.

  5. All submissions to IFG, are uploaded to the following form: link.teamifg.com/widget/survey/N4VvFI3t7JYUDXTC8bGs.

  6. IFG requires IFG partners to submit post enrollment beneficiary communications for review and approval.  These materials should be submitted to  link.teamifg.com/widget/survey/N4VvFI3t7JYUDXTC8bGs.

  7. Individual sales agents should consult IFG with any marketing questions or requests.

  8. Carrier logos cannot be used without approval.  Please note when the material is submitted, it should include the actual logo, not just a placeholder for the logo.

  9. 2025 AEP materials can be filed starting in June.  CMS has not published the official date.

  10. Ensure you are familiar with CMS’ Final Rule. The Final Rule can be found here.

  11. In HPMS, marketing must be refiled for each plan year.  If you are using “year-round” or “evergreen” materials, they will need to refiled for PY2025.

  12. Materials filed for PY2025 cannot be published or used until on or after 10/1.

Thank you for all that you do to ensure compliant marketing, communications, and lead sources. IFG appreciates your continued partnership. If you have specific questions, please email marketing@teamifg.com.

Clover

Clover Health: 2024 and 2025 Certification Notices

Please see below for a few reminders for Clover Health's contracting and certifications.

  • 2024 Certifications in Miramar will close on 6/1

    • If an agent is already enrolled in their 2024 certification program, they will be able to finish it, but no agents may begin certifications after 6/1. All 2024 certification codes will error out.

    • Why do we do this? 2025 certifications are dual certifications. Any agent who completes 2025 certifications will become RTS for 2024 & 2025. We don't want your agents to duplicate efforts by potentially completing certifications twice in 2 months.

  • 2025 Certifications will open in Miramar on 7/18

    • Your agency must sign our 2025 contract addendum in order to receive your 2025 certification code. Contract addendums will be sent out via Docusign in early July to each agency principal for signature. The agency principal must sign the contract.

    • Reminder: 2025 certification codes for your agency will be completely different from your 2024 certification code

Transfer Reminders:

  • Clover Health’s blackout period is October 1st - December 31st. Agents may NOT move uplines during this period.

  • The last day to submit a Notice of Intent to Transfer is June 30th

  • Agents may only change Uplines one time per calendar year

  • Agents are moved only on the 1st of each month

If your agency does not plan on contracting with Clover Health again for the 2025 plan year, please let our team know at contracting@cloverhealth.com.

Devoted Updates

Below are the finalized details for our agent certifications and upcoming Broker Rollouts.

PY25 Agent Certification Dates:

  • Certification Launch: Tuesday, June 25, 2024

  • Blackout Period: Saturday, June 15, 2024, to Monday, June 24, 2024

Key Notes:

  • PY25 AHIP Training: Launches on Monday, June 24, 2024, just one day before our certification launch. We aim to drive an industry-leading certification process, making it as simple and seamless as possible.

  • About the Blackout Period: We implement a blackout period to ensure brokers do not begin PY'24 certification just days before the PY25 certification launch. This approach prevents the need for re-certification within a concise span, allowing for a more efficient transition into PY'25.

  • Certification Continuity: Brokers who start PY'24 certification before the blackout period can complete it. However, a broker cannot initiate PY'24 certification during the blackout period. Completing PY'25 certification will retroactively certify brokers for PY'24.

*While certifications will be live, please remember that final benefit details will not be available until later this summer after the NABA adjustment period.

Broker Rollouts:

  • We are in the process of finalizing the dates, times, and locations for our Broker Rollouts.

  • Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 29, when we plan to release all relevant details.
